FieldBuddy for iPhone · Sold by David Faux · Effective 2 September 2026
Data not collected

FieldBuddy does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data. There is no analytics SDK, account, or product backend. The app makes no network requests of its own.

What stays on this iPhone

Calculations, named jobs, history, your business name and logo, job photos, and any location you pin to a job live in a local database on this iPhone. Nothing is uploaded.

Camera

The camera is used only when you photograph a board or a fault to file against a job, or when you open the magnifier. Photos are re-encoded on this iPhone; EXIF tags, location included, are stripped. Nothing is uploaded.

Location

Location is used only when you ask for it: to pin a job to where you are standing, or to convert a compass heading to true north. The app never uses location in the background. Nothing leaves this iPhone.

Photos and Files

Photo Library and Files access is used only if you choose a business logo for the Site Report. The picker reads the image you select; FieldBuddy does not browse the rest of your library.

Purchases

Apple processes purchases. FieldBuddy reads verified StoreKit transactions on-device to determine whether Pro is unlocked. Apple is the only third party involved, and it handles purchase data under Apple’s privacy policy. No other third party receives any data.

iCloud

iCloud sync is not enabled in this version. Jobs and photos do not leave this iPhone.

Retention and deletion

There is no server copy to retain or delete. Delete a job and its photos go with it. Delete the app and the local database goes with it. You can withdraw camera and location access at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security.
